One of THE best exposes on Amnesty that I’ve read!
While he doesn’t mention them, I should mention that 6 years after the Reagan Amnesty (I call the IRCA Amnesty “the Reagan Amnesty” as President Reagan signed it, one of the worst mistakes of his presidency), President Bill Clinton began a series of 6 small Amnesties for various countries’ nationals.
And some would argue that all the talk of Amnesty during the 8 years of the G.W. Bush Administration amounted to de facto Amnesty for 20-25 million illegals as workplace raids–save for 2 weeks in June-July 2004 in Temecula and Ontario, California–were almost nonexistent.
During Obama’s 8-year reign, there was one big “Immigration bust” by ICE–in Minnesota, of the Chipotle fast food chain.
