I’m getting sick and tired of seeing the phrase “Oh, those illegals can ‘get in the back of the line’ which implies they have to repatriate to their countries of origin (most from Mexico) and then get in line behind legal aliens in foreign countries waiting to get in legally. I’ll bet many who use this phrase are copying pols like Mitt Romney who used it in almost every speech and in many debates leading up to the 2012 Election. And I’ll bet many of them are using the phrase with the idea that illegals DON’T have to repatriate to “get in the back of the line”. Romney used it as part of his grand “touchback” Amnesty scheme, a scheme that cost him millions of Conservative votes and that Election.
The pro-illegal alien lefty-lawyer site where you can see the hoops that deported illegals actually have to go through to get back into the U.S. is NOLO.
It takes at least 5 years to reapply to reenter legally but some have to wait 10 years, some 15 years and some 20 years. Others can never return legally.
